It's Health Week @ MSNBC

So I watched the segment about childhood obesity on MSNBC's Nightly News by Dr. Nancy Snyderman and frankly I'm a bit disappointed. While they did cover the need for more fresh foods and getting away from the commonly consumed processed foods, they didn't cover anything about MSG or Processed Free Glutamic Acids. Based on a mountain of research already done (check some of the links on the right), this exitotoxin (free form L-Glutamine) used for "flavor" is directly responsible for diabetes and obesity in all individuals.

Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent in to MSNBC's "Contact Us" link at the bottom of their page, as I couldn't find a link to submit a formal question to Dr. Nancy Snyderman on MSNBC's Nightly News page.

Hi, I'd like to know if Dr. Nancy Snyderman will be covering the vast use of Processed Free Glutamic Acids (Exitotoxin and active component in Monosodium Glutamate) as "flavor enhancers" in nearly all of the American food supply. it's in everything from baby food to the foods sold and fed to children and nearly all the foods people eat on a regular basis.

The FDA does generally regard the ingredient as safe ("GRAS") despite a petition to remove the GRAS standing, there are also over 186 cited resources on www.truthinlabeling.org and many more resources on www.msgtruth.org which scientifically prove and state just how harmful processed free glutamic acid is.

Based on my own research, free glutalmic acid is the main reason and CAUSE of obesity and diabetes.

This is a very good subject to cover and educate people on for your health week. I would appreciate a response.

The "GRAS" standing I'm talking about can be found here, it's on MSGTruth.org's front page. Lets hope they cover something on the subject of MSG and/or Processed Free Glutamic Acid. Oh! On a random note, I just got my new book Exitotoxins: The Taste that Kills by Dr. Russell L. Blaylock.
